Getting to know Spanish

Spanish is a global language that continues to grow. It has approximately 595 million speakers around the globe, making it the fourth most spoken language in the world. Spanish grammar is quite broad, as it is composed of many verb tenses and different grammatical structures, but there is nothing that practice can’t overcome. We are here to help you meet your academic goals.

Starting as a beginner

“I don’t speak any Spanish, what do I do?”

Don’t worry, you don’t need any prior knowledge of Spanish to begin the course. Having studied another language before can always help you in the process, but it is not necessary.

Reaching level A1

When students reach A1 level, they can introduce themselves, talk about daily routine, descriptions, ask for and give instructions used for transport, express preferences, give and ask for opinions, speak in the present and past tense, etc.

Reaching level A2

In the A2 level we will reinforce the basic content learned during the previous level and we will go a step further to incorporate other tenses (past and future) and grammatical structures such as comparatives, giving orders and advice, telling anecdotes, etc.

Reaching level B1

In the B1 level you will be able to speak more fluently and express more complex structures such as the subjunctive mode, temporal clauses, verbal periphrases or expressing hypotheses with reference to the present, past and future, etc.

Reaching level B2

In the B2 level you will get to know Spanish in a deeper way and you will be able to express yourself more easily with native speakers. It will be essential to implement the contents of previous levels, as well as continuing to expand your lexical and grammatical knowledge at this level.

Teaching method

Oral communication is the most important skill when learning a new language and it can be very often overlooked in traditional courses. Our main goal is to provide our students with the necessary tools so they are able to have real conversations in real contexts. That is why the teaching method is based on the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): the focus is on real-life communication. Students engage in meaningful conversations, role-plays, and interactive activities to develop their speaking and listening skills naturally.

Spanish culture

Language and culture go hand in hand. Our purpose, in addition to learning the language, is for you to get to know in depth the great cultural wealth that Spain has and, at the same time, get you to experience different traditions and customs yourself in our immersion program. For this reason, we offer various cultural and social activities (conversation club, karaoke, games, activities in the city of Alicante and its surroundings) every month that you will be able to enjoy with your classmates.
